Qin Song, Vice President of Metallurgical Industry Information Standard Research Institute, presided over the meeting. Li Yiren, Vice president of World Steel Development Research Institute and Vice president of Hesteel Group attended the meeting.

Yu Yong is the leader of the joint working group of hydrogen metallurgy standards. Gan Yong, Zheng Jinyang and Ma Lincong were appointed as consultants of the working group. Huang Dao, Zhang Longqiang, Lin Ling, Zhang Jianliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Metallurgy, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Li Jian, Director of Low Carbon Technology at the Central Research Institute of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., LTD., served as deputy leaders of the working group.

Sun Xuliang said in his speech:

The establishment of the joint working group of hydrogen metallurgy standards is of great significance, which is not only a specific action to implement the national "dual carbon" work, but also an innovative measure of standardization working mechanism. This kind of coordinated promotion of cross-industry and cross-field standardization will effectively play the comprehensive efficiency of standardization and constantly open up a new situation of "dual carbon" standardization. In order to do a good job in the next step, first, a batch of selected standards should be issued as soon as possible to speed up the construction and continuous optimization of the hydrogen metallurgy standard system. The second is to standardize management, as soon as possible to the two technical committee cooperation mode to finalize and provide examples. Third, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and further enhance the influence of hydrogen metallurgy standard work. We believe that through the joint efforts of all the committee members, the standardization of hydrogen metallurgy will surely achieve fruitful results and make greater contribution to the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the steel industry.

Cui Shuang said in his speech:

The iron and steel industry is an important basic industry of our national economy and an important support for building a modern country. As an important means to promote high-quality development, standards are also an important basis for the steel industry to achieve green and low-carbon transformation. At present, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is studying and improving the standard system of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" in the industrial field, giving full play to the leading role of standards in the application of new low-carbon technologies and processes, and promoting green and low-carbon development in the industrial field. It is hoped that the Joint working group of hydrogen metallurgy standards will play a good role as a platform for technical exchanges in the industry, fully absorb the strength of all parties, strengthen the overall planning and system construction of the hydrogen metallurgy standard system, gather the wisdom of industry experts, take the advanced standards of scientific and technological innovation as the lead, further promote the green and low-carbon development of the industry, and contribute steel strength to the realization of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality".

Jiang Wei said in his speech:

The establishment of the joint working group of hydrogen metallurgy standards is a concrete action to implement the cross-industry and cross-field comprehensive standardization proposed in the National Standardization Development Program, and also a key work to promote the industrial coupling development proposed in the guidelines on promoting the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry. It has an important demonstration value for the construction of the global steel industry ecosystem. We should base ourselves on the industry, pay attention to standardization top-level design and standard system structure optimization, and build a more advanced and applicable standard system. It is necessary to pay attention to publicity, improve the universality and timeliness of standard publicity, and provide support for maintaining the advanced nature of standard technology and standard system. It is necessary to plan systematically and actively participate in the formulation of international standards in the field of hydrogen metallurgy, raise the international discourse of Chinese iron and steel in the field of hydrogen metallurgy, and play an active role in leading the world in the technology of hydrogen metallurgy.

Zhang Longqiang said in his speech:

Hydrogen metallurgy is an important application of hydrogen energy in iron and steel field and an important technical direction to promote the green and low-carbon development of iron and steel industry. At present, the state attaches great importance to the development and industrial application of hydrogen energy industry, and the steel industry attaches great importance to the contribution of enterprises to low-carbon emission reduction. Domestic steel and related enterprises are also actively carrying out research and layout of hydrogen metallurgy. The establishment of the Joint working group of hydrogen metallurgy standards will also further play the basic leading role of the standard, as well as the link and driving role of the standard in industrial synergy and technical cooperation, which will effectively promote the progress of hydrogen metallurgy technology in our country and help the green, low carbon and high quality development of iron and steel industry.

Certificates were also presented to the Advisor and the Group Leader, Deputy Group Leader, Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General of the Joint Working Group on Hydrogen Metallurgical Standards.

More than 200 people from domestic and foreign steel enterprises, iron and steel industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises, universities, research institutions, experts, scholars, researchers and media journalists attended the meeting.
